Visionary Exceptional Courage?

Ok, so I’m real sorry that I keep picking on McGuinty here, as those of you who know me, know as is not in my character and know that I am rather liberal, but I came across this video today and I’m not exactly sure what to think. The Liberal communications directors were clearly out to lunch on this one. I have no idea what they were getting at here.

I realize that this is a take on the Dalton.ca site where McGuinty basically explains to everyone the reasons as to why he was not sable to keep his promises. This commercial serves as an extension to that and has video of McGuinty admitting to lying to the people of Ontario, and that’s great, that he’s finally accepting that he lied, but to have a video admits that McGuinty lied, then two seconds later claims that he has visionary exceptional courage… If I did that when I was younger my parents would have beaten me - If I lied then tried to say I was courageous for finally admitting to lying 4 years later.

I have no idea what this commercial is trying to achieve.

I watch this and feel like I want to vomit. I’m ashamed that McGuinty’s communications people would think that just because they admitted to lying after 4 years of people telling that to their faces they finally now fess up and call that courage. This is absolutely offensive to our collective integrity.
